Given the wide coverage we've highlighted some of the salient points of the recent Digital Britain report: -
- The UK is to have a Universal Service Commitment of 2Mbps (2 Megabits per second) by 2012
- No minimum upstream speed or latency requirements have been outlined in the report
- A 50p per month levy to be imposed on all fixed copper lines
