Sky unveiled quarterly figures which suggests it's the country's fastest growing broadband provider holding a total of 1.955 million broadband subscribers.

The total revenue for the Sky group increased by 6% year on year to £2,601 million with total product sales increasing by 7%.

Sky warned rivals that it feels there is still much growth yet to come through converting more of its 83% (9.4m) existing satellite television customers yet to take their broadband offering.

In the second half of 2009 Sky also plan to deploy full unbundling which will include their own equipment in the telephone exchanges to handle telephone calls, and allow further cost savings.
